There are nights when I wake up and clueless of what I dreamed about that night. But there are some nights where I have multiple vivid dreams and can remember details that I put together in reality. Last night was one of those nights with the surreal dreams. I have to write about it and analyze what I might interpret them to mean.

Dream 1:

I’m in a newer, black Mustang with my art history professor. She’s driving and I’m in the passenger seat, in a busy city on a dark night, the location is unsure. The destination, unsure. We are chatting about art, she has both hands on the wheel at 9 and 3. The best way to describe her physical is…skeletal. After two semesters of art history 1 and art history 2, I have pondered her to be anorexic instead of paying attention to art history, so in my dream, I ask her “how do you maintain your thin body?” She replies, “It’s natural. I eat everything and I just can’t gain the weight.” I accept her answer without doubt and move on to the next subject.

She hit a squirrel. She yelled “Fucking Rodent!” I laughed and thought it was pretty awesome that my teacher said “fucking” for the sense that she was a real person, not just a teacher who did her job, but an ordinary person like me, living a life essentially the same way showing me that we may vary in personalities but in a bigger picture, we are all the same.

Dream 2:

I was at a country concert. Not sure what the hell I was doing at a country concert, but I remember wearing boots, plaid and cut off shorts and walking away towards my vehicle with bright lights illuminating behind me and a crowd of cowboy hats. I notice a particular guy sitting on a bench outside the concert, legs crossed, patiently waiting for me and reading something on his phone. He spots me and my best friend who joined. I had to stop and rearrange my bag? but in the meantime, he grabs my friend and takes her around the corner to tell ask her how to get me to like him after realizing that I was no longer interested. I was flattered.

(the best part about this dream was the feeling. I remember a feeling of comfort and I was profoundly happy, such as ecstasy. The feelings didn’t make sense, but I actually felt them and they felt great.)
